Awful skin, but I enjoyed writing the story! Hope you like it!

"They say in the old crypts of Heaven's Shrine, there is a malevolent creature of untold rage and envy. An archangel of the name Nathaniel, cast away into the barren terra for all of eternity for his sins. His grand wings were torn from his back, his halo blackened with charcoal and ashes, his eyes pierced then bound with acid-soaked cloth and he was beaten. So severely, if the Overseer hadn't felt the afterlife leaving his raw body, he would have died without any compassion in his heart.

The Overseer, Marian, stopped the Archangels who were sentencing him to his death, and nursed him back to health. She stitched the gaping cavities where his wings used to be, replaced the stinging binding with soft cotton, and smothered his bruises and wounds with healing balms. Nathaniel never fully healed, though, and his sins were not forgotten, despite his near-death.

Marian was forced to condemn him to the earth for forever and a day. His heart was cold, so bitter and frozen, he almost wouldn't have cared. But the tiny bit of humanity in him was enraged, and with that little provocation from that minuscule part of him, Nathaniel bared his talons and tines -

and buried them into Marian.

He was almost shoved from the sky oasis, and when he landed with a raw crunch, he realized what he did, and mourned. And as wailed his lament, the piece of compassion and pity and all the good things that he used to be, shattered. He accepted his future as a hell-bound beast, and wade his feet in lava when he sent his stolen lives to Underground's archdemons. Whenever he returns to the land, his feet burn and blister. It is said that if the fire is ever extinguished, the only thing there would be burnt marrow.

He is said to still haunt Heaven's Shrine to this day, and anyone who comes near enough to experience his disease and his ugliness don't live long enough to see another sunrise.

What was his sin, you wonder? Everyone does. It's not every day that an Archangel gets doomed to roam the terrain. But let me tell you what - just this once, I'll tell you.

He killed me.

He stole my body, face, name. I am him, but he is me. We are not one, but we are bound. But I will always be superior to him. You know why?
