His Story


     Raised in the lowly seaport town of The Red Isles, Joshua was the captain of his own boat and crew at the age of 14. He was the number one captain in all of his own town, and others around it. He won 24 races and have captained 16 expeditions to South America, and even won 13 National Races. When he was 23, he got married to a nice young lady named Mary Anne, and owned a beautiful house. Sadly, when Joshua was 31, Mary Anne got very sick, and eventually passed. The passing of his wife sent him into a deep depression, which led to suicidal thoughts. When he was about to off himself, he had a moment of realisation: Sailing made him feel alive.
     When Joshua was 35, he had lead over 50 expeditions to the Southern Isles of Africa, with the route going through the Red Sea. The Red Sea had claimed over 500 lives, and had destroyed over 30 ships, but not one captain or crewmate knew exactly why. Finally, after years of avoiding a expedition to find the reason, when he was 47, he lead the biggest ship in the shipyard to the Red Sea to find the exact reason why the ships were disappearing. The ship held over 500 people alone, including 100 expert sea-inspectors.
     As soon as they got into the center of the Red Sea, a terrible storm appeared out of nowhere. The waves were wrecking the ship apart, and there was a shadowy figure appearing from the water. When the lightning struck, they saw the horiffic monster's face, known as The Kraken, and they were so scared that it looked like their spirits jumped out of their bodies. With one fell swish, the Kraken snapped the ship in half. Joshua had got to a large peice of wood before the storm let up. As soon as he came back to town, he realised, he had a scar on his right arm, along with a missing eye.
     He was given treatment at a home in the Red Isles, but had gone insane beyond fixing. To this day, he still wears the clothes he wore on the day the Kraken attacked, and continues his rant about the Kraken, and for years, no one had believed him...



This was my skin for the Life on the High Seas Contest, and after being dead for about 2 years, I would revamp the work that i put into my skins ten fold! Enjoy!
