Sick of seeing that tacky armor covering your beautiful skin you worked hard on? Well here is the solution. This texture pack removes Netherite, Diamond, Gold, Iron, Chainmail, Leather Armor, and all trim textures from the game without changing anything else. Horse armor is unaffected.
This texture pack affects ONLY the image files of the armor and as long as Minecraft doesn't do some large overhaul of their armor files. This pack will continue to be compatible with all future versions of Minecraft and all previous versions.
As a side note, the texture pack may say it is for a newer version of the game and may no longer work correctly but I can assure you it works fine and I've tested it multiple times with no issues occurring.

In order to do that you need optifine. I personally don't do custom texture packs like that but if you follow the video above, you're more than welcome to use my texture pack and just add whatever optifine requires to make the pack work the way you want it to.
