OrcraftiaSomething I will remember for a long time happened today. Something that was happening and that I was at the right time to notice.
The snow geese were returning from migration. There were hundreds of them, really, there were a lot of them. I was going to read a book when, out of habit, I looked out the window.
I then saw dozens of birds flying in the sky in the distance, above the fields, near a forest. There were more than usual and others flying above the house or in the distance, approaching this large group. I stayed a long time, I thought at first of Canada geese but I saw, when they passed in front of the trees, that they were white. I knew then that they were snow geese. I also saw darker ones, which must have been the dark form of this species. I went outside, onto my balcony, to hear them and see them a little better. I saw them pass above me, I could clearly see their white colors and their black-tipped wings. I was amazed, it was my best birding moment since spring started.

The photo is not mine, sorry. I could have taken a picture of the ones passing above me, but I preferred to relax and take full advantage of this moment and not fight to take a perfect picture.
