It spawns you in a very small island. However, I would like you to roam around with a map and find a mushroom biome. There is also a place where there is a tree. That is far from the spawn, but you can start without a tree for a challenge. Open up a map right when you spawn, and go to the bottom left corner. there should be a few trees around there.
