Day #52 after the "opening"
You do not hear any laughter in this town anymore. No more bird larking nor you can see silly squirrels running through the gardens. The image of "dead town" that many novel writers liked to describe, can be easily seen all over the places. Few days after the "incident" some people found out that the "god" we saw was not the only one but there were lots more others that appeared all over the world. A man from an old radio was kept on saying that we were being ... invaded ...
Many believed, soon our military will act against the "god" and bring peace back to us. The help, however, did not come. Days after days, people continued to stare at the northern sky where a giant gap of voids is located in. Hoping for those helicopters and jets would appear in the far horizon and start firing rockets and bullets. After a month, hardly anyone is anticipating of any help from the military.
Resources are scarce and became people's priorities. After the "god" destroyed our communication, home securities, transportation, and global trade, people had to start gathering all their necessities by themselves. Markets and shopping malls were the most popular target for hungry and desperate crowds. Many were injured or died during the scavenges.
Along with the fall of securities, the human laws also fell through the ground. Police, attorneys, and the home securities were nowhere to be seen. As time passed, people started to forming factions, guilds, and groups to keep themselves and their precious resources safe from others. Weak bowed to the strong and the strong bowed down to the stronger. These "stronger" constantly fought against each other to become the "strongest".
