Introduction.
Well, hello everyone! I've decided to write another blog, which is a bit odd for me, considering my last blog was only a week ago. Some unfortunate events have occured, and when the unthinkable happens, writing is usually my outlet, so I thought it might be good to write something. Anyway, I've been thinking lately, and a question has popped into my head, what does it mean to be a blogger? It may seem like a confusing question, and it is. I mean, what defines us as "bloggers"? Is it just the fact that we write blogs, that then puts us in some meaningless categorization? Or does it have a deeper, less simple meaning to it? In this blog, I'll be debating the issue. Moment of truth: I really have no idea what the outcome will be. The blog will more or less just be a documentation of my train of thought.
Let's establish some basics.
Ok, so, a blog, according to the dictionary, is "a personal website or webpage on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis" But that's not really the case with our fine site, is it? I like to believe that the blog section was founded so that gamers could regularly post status on one post, and add more content as their life progressed VIA the update button, but it really evolved into something more. People started creating individual posts in which they would talk about a specific issue, and reach out to the community about it. A place where people could share their ideas, and give help to the rest of the community. This is really what defines the PMC blogs section. It's a place like no other.
Let's go into more depth.
For every blog, there is a blogger. The blog wouldn't ever be compiled without the existance of a blogger. It's like a cooperative system. One can't exist without the other. We know that blogs are a type of writing. Writing is a system comprised of sentences made out of words made out of letters, creating sounds and syllables. These words have nearly infinite amounts of combinations, which can be used to express any specific idea or thought. This is the beauty of writing, it can be used to express ourselves perfectly. There's a word for nearly every emotion, no matter how strong (I don't mean to disrespect the whole "Oh Jeffrey, words can't describe how great you are!" thing. That's a sweet expression, meaning it's hard to put it into words. God I sound like a stickler.). Anyway, without the human talent to express emotions, the powerful writing that we appreciate today wouldn't exist. It's just being able to write about emotion, drama, and human nature that make these pieces of writing so relatable, thus we love them, since we see a bit of ourselves in some of the characters.
Conclusion.
So, if we put everything to talk about together, a blogger is much more than just a meaningless title. It's who we are as people. A blogger is someone who is able to take an idea, and put it into a way that everyone can understand. A blogger is someone who dares to believe that maybe there are new ways to use words to express ourselves as human beings. A blogger is someone who takes everything they know, and finds a way to make it into something even better. A blogger is the definition of human ingenuity.
Well thank you, everyone for reading. Again, this may have sounded like I was droning on a bit, sorry about that. It's honestly harder for me to write all of a sudden... hopefully it'll get better soon. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this blog! Diamonds always are a great, convenient way to show your appreciation, a favorite always makes me squeal like a little girl, and a subscription is like, the best way to show your appreciation! You don't even need to leave the page, there's a little subscribe button next to my name at the top of the page. See you all next time!
