First, you will need to find a tree.(most survival type islands have one tree) Then you will need to get wood and saplings from the tree, Plant them but not too close together ( saplings will not grow if to close together). Keep one wood, and turn the rest to wooden planks. Next make a small whole, about 2 or 3 blocks deep, then make a roof with room for light, quickly get nine cobblestone,At this point you should make a furnace.Use the furnace to smelt your wood with wooden planks as fuel and you will get charcoal. (acts the same as coal) Once you get charcoal you may make several torches to lite up your house and the island. Now place tourches and on the next day, you will be ready to play like a champ!
