Today, since I definitely don't have enough responsibilities, we're gonna be starting an interview series!
Our first victim subject interviewee will be AvatarKage!!
My questions will be in blue, and his replies in magenta.

1. How did you find PMC?
I first discovered Planet Minecraft back in 2013 when I was looking for game modifications. I had recently bought Minecraft after playing on someone else account for approximately 9 months and wanted to try out mods after seeing others using them on YouTube.
2. How did you come up with your username?
Back in 2015 and 2016 I was a mad fan of Avatar The Last Airbender. I loved every single aspect of the show! At one point my Minecraft account needed recovering due to an issue which I don't fully remember what. After it was recovered my original username was changed to Avatar2003 by my mom for that reason. Avatar, cause I loved the ATLA series and 2003 as that is my birth year.
Eventually towards making my name more original when I started creating online content I added "Official" at the end of my user to sorta make me stand out since Avatar<insert_random_number> were common used names. But sadly due to the user having a space and numbers there were many limitations on different platforms and games which told me early on this would only be a temporary change.
About a year and a half later I updated my logo to 2.0 and that was the time when also finalized my username. I wanted something short, solid, and dark and I kinda though of maybe having "Drake" and an alternative name to "Avatar2003 Official" for a while since it was already in my old autogenerated Xbox Live game tag.
On October 21, 2020 my new user was finally decided after months of though and it matched everything I wanted in a username. My OC is a shadow and I liked the username "shadow" so why not use something like this. AvatarShadow didn't really fit though so I looked for alternatives to it. While I did not find alternatives to it I did however find different translations to it, one of them being Japanese. I love the Japanese culture and language even if I don't know much about it so I used the Japanese translation. Shadow means Kage in Japanese. Kage was easy to say, short, and dark, making "AvatarKage" the perfect username as half English and half Japanese. ΛvatarKage (アバター影)
I don't consider it a username anymore but rather a piece of my identify and professional name. On certain platforms that "require" a real name I use "Ava Kage" as a bypass since a lot of my friends call me Ava for short of Avatar.
Bit of a long back story but that's how my alias was created!
3. In case some people who don't know you are here, what do you do?
On Planet Minecraft I make skins mostly. Uploads are rare but when they are it's typically a different variation of my Minecraft skin or a shading update as I'm still working on mastering shading. I plan on releasing modifications for the latest version of Minecraft later on though as well as maybe some builds and a texture pack.
4. Do you actually play Minecraft? If so, what version?
Absolutely, I've been playing Minecraft since 2012 and it had really opened me to a whole new world of creativity. I currently play on few versions. For modded I either play on 1.12.2 or 1.18.2 and for vanilla I tend to do 1.18.2+ depending on how long it take servers to update to latest version.
5. What is your favorite mob?
I don't have any in particular but I really like the axolotl, skeleton horse, ender dragon, and glow squid. Ah yes, the disappointment in the players eyes when the glow squid won the mob vote back in 2020. And I was there the whole time rooting for it :P
6. What mob do you think should be added?
Monkeys. For years I feel that monkeys are missing from the jungle biomes of Minecraft. Adding monkeys would make the jungles much better with potential banana trees getting added as well. Just imagine living in a banana wood hut with monkeys on on the top of a tall jungle tree.
7. Pronouns?
I go by he/him or they/them!
8. What do you do in your free time? any hobbies?
In my free time I enjoy gaming and moderating communities as well as making music and many other various types of creative content.
