Hello Diamond Miners, and welcome to DiamondBlog: Blogs done the WRITE way!

So today I thought of a topic (to get me to level 40) that may surprise some of my subscribers. Most of you will know that I am a HUGE Minecraft fan. I’m sure we all are, but I consider myself a really big fan. Anyway, this topic is specifically about wondering about the point of Minecraft. That’s right, what is the point of Minecraft?

When you begin:

So when you begin there are so many wonders you get to enjoy. You find the amazing scenery, the endless worlds, and all the wonders Notch, Jeb, Dinnerbone, etc. have put into the game. The world is an unlimited mass that you can explore. You see the huge mountains, cascading waterfalls, even a cheery little chicken laying eggs even though it has (what ask.com tells me) a comb. This stuff is the ultimate experience. You never want to get rid of it.

When you become a veteran crafter:

Now it starts to become boring. You’ve had the same adventures over and over again. You’ve killed thousands of zombies and mined a large chest inventory full of stacks of diamond blocks. You’ve done everything. You’ve seen everything. You ARE everything. So what do you do? You could start a new world, and have those EXACT SAME adventures, or you could start playing multiplayer.

Now you can have some fun. Not only are you having the adventure you are also having it with other people. You can do it with your friends that have been playing Minecraft slightly longer or shorter than you. However, you can also do it with random strangers that have been playing the game since it came out.

After a long time:

Now you literally HAVE done everything. You try a few mods, but it still gets boring. Then you start to think: What is the point? This is the predicament I’m in. I just bought Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition. I should have so much more to do. The fact is, I don’t. I don’t understand why I am playing this game with the lack of good graphics. I don’t understand why I am slaying a skeleton that my sister asks if it’s a guy with anorexia (not a good thing to joke about by the way). I don’t understand why I have anything to do with Minecraft. Then it hits me.

The reason I still like to go on those outrageous adventures is to keep the adventure going. I’m not talking about the Minecraft adventure anymore. I’m talking about the life adventure. You guys are the reason I still play. I want to find more to blog about on Planet Minecraft. I want to know Minecraft’s every little secret. I want to know everything there is to know. The thing about Minecraft: you can’t know everything. New mysteries are added every day. The random way everything generates. You get new chunks for wherever you go.

Thank you for reading this special blog. I’m not going to post any links any more. I am done with all of that. For now on I’m just going to blog as if Planet Minecraft were just a community, and not a way to be famous. I hope you guys continue your adventures. As will I.
