I would like to begin by saying this is my first review here on PMC and I hope for some positive feedback. Give me anything you would like to say in the comments below.
This map was bland, to say the least. I'm sorry but it didn't have anything to show off, or make it interesting at the least. I saw in the description that the poster did acknowledge that it is a fairly basic build, but with the size of the building, it could have been better furnished and it could have had a lot more decorative value.
Entrance and Initial Presentation:6/10
The initial presentation turned out to be a wooden house with no special value, and looked like it could have been built in 5 minutes with the right building experience. I did like his redstone skill, managing to make a door which would open and close using pistons. The only problem with this is that there was NO switch inside. This means you have to leave the door open if you wish to leave, or you would have to destroy part of the build. Whats worse than all this is that if your going to build on SuperFlat, then you should make something big enough to take up a lot of room, due to there not being a background to interact with your building.
Main Room:3/10
There was nothing in the main room that seemed to be of decorative proportion. It was bland, and all there was that could count as an effective piece of furniture was some badly made stairs. The size made up for it, and I have spared it 3 points. Disappointing, and I have nothing more to say about it.
Other Rooms and Decorating:5/10
The building was givin' 2 bedrooms, connected with a small walkway. It was givin' 5 points, mainly for there being a range of paintings which gave the room an artistic feel and gave some lacking decoration, and there were some windows. It was disappointing seeing a house so big being used for so little.
Exterior:6/10
Not too bad. A swimming pool is outside in the backyard, enclosed by a small wooden fence. I suspect that the other decorations would be tents, but I am unsure. One of the more better presented parts of the building.
Design Factor:4/10
There was no really impressive key decorative or artistic feels in this building, and it lacked a good amount of design. It really felt shallow and could have used a lot more effort. A simple furnishing of a table and sofa would have gone a long way.
