Hello girls and boys, Diamonddozen here with another rant!

So you all know that PMC has the pop reel right? I think it's bull s**t! People who just come onto the server make a semi-good skin and they get on it? How many diamonds does it take to get onto the pop reel? It obviously can't take that much because so many people get on it daily. Then they get all this xp from one measly little diamond?

I know I'm starting to sound stupid just because I never get on the pop reel but isn't it true? I've seen more people with bad skins on the pop reel then people with good skins. I've barely even made it on the Blog Reel. I just don't get the specifications of good anymore. It makes me feel worthless in this society.

okay i just looked at the freaking home pop reel. And a freaking jimbo skin is thier along with all these other amazing projects. WTF the skin is just accurate not good. This is why the pop reel is screwed up, becuase if a jimbo from the simpsons skin got in. How come my dragon warrior skins are not thier? Becuase you probably gotta know someone high up to get in their i bet. I guess planetminecraft might be corrupt now.

dude i must agree with you. None of my skins have made it in the reel, or into the finalists of any of the contests, while people with half baked skins or stupid ideas get into the finalists. Some idiot in the mythological skin contest got in with his wingless, talonless gargoyle. Which makes no sense since he couldnt even make what he was going for. While my anatomicaly correct golem didnt make it in. Nor did my hero into this one. Its getting ridicoulous about what counts as good.

Um... well, not that my opinion counts for much, but I don't think you have enough talent in skin-making to be on the reel at the moment. You don't shade or otherwise gradient the colour on your skins (with exception of a few instances of noise filter use), the detail-work leaves much to be desired, and the vast majority of them look like they took five minutes to make.

That aside, I do agree that the pop reel is out of whack. I heard somewhere that the required number of diamonds is 4 within 30 minutes for a skin? (I've been trying to find out because I really would like the texture pack that I'm currently working on to make it into the reel, and I want to know what kind of upvoting that would take...)

thats becuase the skins im making currently im focusing more on making them look like they are supposed to be. Like my dragon warrior or megaman skins, i went off of pictures with little to no shading, plus they were made for accuracy. While my own original skins are the ones im talking about, like my golem, or the decomposer. The ones from video games that i make, are more for accuracy becuase im kinda going off of 8bit images for megaman, and the dragon warrior ones were hard enough to make without shading becuase they had alot more detail. The point is the pop reel is screwed up really.

I fail to see "a lot more detail" in the dragon warrior ones, but that's beside the point. Yes, the pop reel is screwed up. Let's wave some angry banners together.

i didnt put in alot more detail. The pictures i got from the little instruction book it came with had alot of detail, also im probably gonna make a banner to put in my signiture that i could send to people, that says "the pop reel is _______________" i need ideas for the rest.

It certainly doesn't take 'one measly little diamond' to get on the pop reel, it's a very difficult thing to do if you're not an epic skinner. Don't worry if you're not on the pop reel--it should be a long-term goal, but it's not worth getting hung up on
