If you have Google Chrome just get the ad-blocker extension it gets rid of all those ads

you still can, you should have a stop sign up in your left corner (I use chrome, so if you have adblock for other browsers [which you can!] it may be different). Click on it and then click on the box that says "Enable for this site" Adblocker will then not block ad's on PMC, but will do so on other sites.
