Peru: (Concerned). What’s taking y’all so long to get out here? I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for y’all to get out here, but it’s like y’all aren’t even coming.




Me: We aren’t leaving today Peru. We’re leaving tomorrow.




Peru: (Confused). Huh? I thought you said we were leaving today not tomorrow.




Me: No! It was supposed to be today, but Conner said he wasn’t going to be available until tomorrow, so don’t worry. I’ve got this. You just wait.




Peru: Okay! I understand that Conner doesn’t want us today, but tomorrow.




A day later




Me: (Heard her phone vibrate continuously). Who would be calling me this early in the morning?




Peru: (Notices his G/F talking on the phone with someone). I wonder who’s on the phone she’s talking to.




Chile: I’m not sure. I believe it’s Conner she’s talking to.




Me: Well, the trip’s off guys.




Peru: Awe! I wonder why.




Chile: What happened?




Me: Jayla has Covid and so does Katie.




Mexico: That sucks.




Argentina: Yes! I was kinda prepared to go, but once you said that I was like “What?” That sucks.




Mexico: Just as I said.




Chile: I know! What do you want to do since we can’t go see Conner or his family?




Me: I was thinking of that place you were talking about a few weeks ago Perú.




Perú: You mean “Machu Picchu”?




Me: Yea! That place. What country is that in?




Perú: Peru. You know that Peru is said to be the largest nation in all of South America. And it’s capital. Lima.




Me: I’ve never seen anything that massive before Peru. Is Lima usually that massive?




Peru: Oh yeah! Lima is said to be Peru’s largest city in all of Peru. No doubt. Believe me. Trust me. I know most answers.




Me: I know you do. Your 201 years old.




Peru: (Laughing). Yes! I am. 201 years ago I became an independent nation in South America. (Notices a car drive by). I just noticed a mid-sized suv drive by. What kind of car do you drive cariño?




Me: 2021 Chevy Tahoe.




Mexico: Wut?




Argentina: Wut?




Chile: Wha?!




Peru: Are you kidding?




Me: No! I kid you not Perú! Haha! A 2021 Chevy Tahoe. It’s a full sized suv.




Chile: Who’s all goin?




Argentina: No! Sorry! I can’t. I’m unavailable to go. I’m kidding! I was just teasing.




A little while later that day!




Chile: ¿Te gustańa que nos casemos y formemos una familia?




Perú: No.




Me: Are you two thinking about getting married?




Peru: No. We’re not. Why




Me: I heard Chile say this in Spanish ¿“Te gustańa que nos casemos y formemos una familia”?




Peru: He was just saying that to see if he wanted to get married and start a family of our own. So I said no. I wasn’t going to marry someone who’s gay.




Chile: What? I’m not gay Peru. That’s a lie.




Peru: Grrr! I don’t like you anymore. I really don’t. I’m sorry but I just don’t like your guts after what you said to me. C’mon bebe chica.




Me: Grr!




Chile: What? What did even do to y’all to get you to hate me all of the sudden?




Perú and Caitlin: (Looks at Chile weirdly). We don’t like you anymore. Grr!




Chile: Why?
