Hey its shadow, and im gonna be showing you what to do and what not to do whilst creating a skin...
(The Shoes Are Just To Show You That You Cant Do Wedges Unless Your Amazing At Skinning)
Do:
Keep eyes 4 pixels away from the top of the head
Try shading!!! its not hard once you know how to do it! i had trouble with it... But know im fine... for me i put the darkest color of what im using in the corners of the head ( dont do black, if your doing pink, do dark pink ) then keep going lighter until you reach the middle of the head/shirt/pants/shoes
Try to keep it evenly divided (or else people might think you dont care)
Dont:
Make the eyes at the very top of the head
Make the eyes one pixel (Like ihascupquake But she can work it)
Make the eyes like my Flutter Butterfly skin
Make Solid Colors
Put really long bangs if your making a boy skin
Cover the whole left eye with the helmet
Put lips in it... it looks odd if your doind like a human
Put eyes in a 2x2 square then shade it like a checkerboard
I Guess This Is A Lesson For The Head Only... Woops

What if you are TRYING to do that for a skin? Cause some derp skins have that. Anyways, I know whatcha ment. This was pretty basic advice, But it really helped me. Thanks,
