I run through the forest as I occasionally glance up into the air looking for something as I hold my faintly glowing trident, I splash into a pool of water and hide in the shadows, switching to my shield as I look over its rim at the night sky above me. "Whew... I thought I saw something up there, I guess my lack of sleep is just getting to me. Heh, yeah, that's probably it." I stand back up after reassuring myself that it was nothing, then I saw it, two glowing green eyes, then six and finally eighteen, I turn tail and sprint back the way I came towards the cave I had been camping out in.

I put my shield on my back and bring my trident back out, I glance behind me and see the swarm of eyes gaining on me. I swerve between the trees to try to lose those eyes on my tail, I turn and toss my trident at one of them, it impales it and it screeches as it goes down, I tug on the rope tied to it and it flies back into my hand as I hear bones rattling, zombies groaning and spiders hissing. "Great... just great! I tried to sneak past the mobs, and these eyes just ruined all those plans at one time." I state as I sprint to my destination.

I trip on a stone on the ground and I do a flip and land face-first into the dirt, my trident flies in front of me, the eyes swirl around me and start diving at me, hitting my armor and only slightly bruising me. I get back up and start running again, I see a few skeletons up ahead, I divert around them and see more of those eyes... those 'phantoms' ahead of me and I decide to run though the skeletons than those things, I run though them and make them shoot the phantoms thinking it'll stop them, but the arrows miss them.

I keep up my escape attempt as I leave the forest and toss my boat into the water to distract them as I jump on my horse's back and gallop away, but after a time my horse drops from under me and flings me forward, but I land on my feet and keep running, I look back and see that a 'phantom' had bit its forelegs and then it had buckled when it put its weight on them. I see my cave in the distance, not more than one hundred blocks away, I give it one last pull as a thunder storm starts and I smile.

I stop and turn to face the swarm flying at me, "Now... let's see how many I get." I say as I toss my trident into the center of the swarm. It hits one and a bolt of lightning flashes from the sky, it arcs and splits to hit every single one of the 'phantoms' following me, they all explode into burning hides and charred meat. I yank the rope again and it once more flies back into my hand, but when I catch it this time, it snaps in half and I drop the part that I still held. "Great, now let's hope my sword can keep me safe as I try and make it back." I state as I bring out a diamond sword with some use in it and tie the rope my trident had to my sword, and get back to running to safety.

As the lightning flashes I see more coming, a swirling funnel, a black mass, a swarm that puts the last to shame. I back up and let go of my sword to hold it by the rope, I start spinning it as I get ready for the hardest battle of my life, maybe one of my last. I shake my head to rid myself of those thoughts, and stand my ground as it envelopes me.

They swoop in and hit me from every direction as I push through the swarm taking down as many as I can with my spinning sword, I see an opening and jump through it and see a creeper in the distance, I swing my sword and stab it, then yank my rope and throw it into the mass. It explodes inside of it, making me lose my diamond sword and scattering them for a few seconds, just enough time for me to escape from them. I sprint into my cave and breathe a heavy sigh of relief, and start panting from my long chase, I raid my food storage for a loaf of bread and devour it, then I lay down in my bed and go to sleep in the previously unused bed.

When I wake up in the morning I go outside to check the damage I caused to the 'phantoms', I see it fading as their remains evaporated, and the ones that I had seen in that swarm, currently only the eyes remained, then even those vanished from sight as I looked in complete shock and confusion. I regained composure a few minutes later and pieced it together, "So... lack of sleep equals those horrors, sleeping makes them go away, so they my dreams fighting against me? No... that makes no sense, I guess that it's just they come from lack of sleep, don't need to and don't want to think into that too much." I state as I walk back into my cave.
