A lot of people give their Ocs trauma, and so do I. My reason is that because of their trauma, they get happy things. Examples:



Kari - if she didn’t get abducted by the government, she would not have met her boyfriend.
Melody (Hazbin hotel) - if her ex-boyfriend didn’t cheat, she would not have met the hazbin hotel crew (her ex-boyfriend also had a record of cheating, so he wouldn’t be in heaven with her)
Akari Myoga (Yandere simulator) - if she hadn’t been in a mafia family, she would have reported Ayano (protagonist of yandere simulator) for murdering someone, and she wouldn’t have any friends.
