Episode 1: Obvious Intentions
Everybody wants to use the new Sculk Sensors in survival minecraft, so I managed to implement it... WITH THE MOB :D
The Warden will spawn somewhat irregularly in the overworld, they have been shrunken from 4 blocks in height to a mere 2 and a half to be more capable of moving through the tight caves of 1.17.
Wardens act as you would expect, being attracted to things that create vibrations (For reasons called Lag, Vibration particles have been changed to small poofs of dust) however for now (Until I make that major update I've been wanting to do for ages) the Warden only senses vibrations made by the player, excluding the breaking and placing of blocks. Wardens will also attack if you activate a sensor within the Wardens range.
Wardens move quickly and deal 32 damage, with a clean bill of health at 82 hearts. My favourite personal touch I've made to the Warden is that if you sneak up to it to attack, it will gain a health regen and speed boost, quickly eliminating you in rage.
Wardens have a chance at dropping Sculk Sensors and more commonly, Sculk Carpets. The Carpets can be used as a simple decor similar to that of Moss Carpets. Sculk Sensors act like the Warden, currently only sensing the player, they still activate redstone though if you put an observer beside them!
As this is only the first episode in my multi-datapack series, it will be quite small, but expect bigger projects soon!
