    It says it is meant for 1.16 but when I ran it all I was was invisible and it just spawned a block or a mob that didn't move and couldn't be mined. Do you know why it isn't working?

    It's actually 1.16.5 only if I remember correctly and this specific datapack have quite a few bugs. Made 3 years ago when I was still learning datapacks development.

    Does this work on 1.17 and is there a way to make it so you can only turn into mobs and not blocks as well?

    Hi, it's not made for 1.17 so I don't think it will work and it isn't made to only use mobs.

    i joined in, datapack looked like it was working because it showed countdown but when the next morph happened it was just a mob/block spawning where i was standing and when i moved it was still there. plus i was invisible

    Yes I know there's a bug with this datapack in some versions. It will be fixed when updating to 1.17.
