How to install Minecraft Data Packs

This Minecraft 1.15 - 1.20.2+ DataPack Summon's Lightning on the Player when thay Die.
  • How to Install
  1. Download the DataPack and unzip it
  2. Then go to the Search bar and Type %appdata% this will Bring you to your Roaming Folder in there find your .minecraft Folder open it
  3. and find the saves Folder
  4. and then Sellect your Minecraft World you want to install it on
  5. Then go to your Worlds DataPacks Folder open it
  6. and put the unziped folder in there and there you go
  7. to see it working open minecraft and load up your world and type /reload and a message will pop up in chat
Then if you die or get killed a Lightning Bolt will Strike where you died

YOOO thx for this datapack!, also for the /scoreboard players reset @a deaths. you can use /scoreboard set @a 0. just a suggestion

Cool idea! I've seen people do this in civilisation events and whatnot, but having it for a survival world is great as well :)

Maybe make it so if you die to a lightning strike it doesn't show the lightning again. That seems kinda odd to me XD

Also the video on the pack's PMC page seems to be set as private? I can't see it when I open the page.

To fix that people don't lose their items when they die is to summon lightning above their head, about 1 block above.

Okay it's fixed it does not destroy items or start Forest fires but I did have to remove some of the ports like 1.13 and 1.14

Can you make it so that there's no fire? It burns everyone's stuff lol.

I don't know if there is a way to turn off fire from lightning, the only way that I know of is turning the DoFireTick gamerule to false.
