What do you prefer more? And why? (If possible)

Note 1: Intel usually has more cache which really helps in video editing.

Note 2: AMD is really good value for the price, but you end up paying more to get the AMD equivalent to an Intel chip.

Note 3:Amd may boast cheap prices for more cores but for hardcore gaming or video editing I would go for Intel because of the extra cache.

Note 4:
AMD Is great for overclocking and includes some amd specific instruction sets. But barelty any software is made for this

I am an amd "fanboy" but i have to admit for now that Intel would be the best decision just from research and real world performance tests.

AMD: "I'll be back!"
Intel:

Nice budget, AMD processors get really good at that price so do AMD graphics cards. Dont pick built in graphics they REALLY suck, i reccomend getting a graphics card with 1-2 gbs of dedicated graphics ram as well

Thinking of building a desktop with an ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and Intel Core i7-3770 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000
But I'm stuck between AMD and Intel.

Edit; its not i7-3770 buy i7-3770k version

For gaming I suggest AMD by far because of the higher perfomance OVERALL and are usually pretty cost effective in the value for money sector.

Also Intel makes some pretty SH## graphics cards which is a con if you are buying from them, while AMD graphics cards may work better with AMD processors giving you optimum performance for gaming.

If you are thinking about overclocking I have had more trouble with intel processors than AMD which is relatively easy to overclock.

So in my opinion AMD is best by far

I have a AMD FX 8150. I dont like it because its very unstable. Im ordering a intel chip.

AMD: Performance on a budget
Intel: Reliability, Performance, High End, More money.

I prefer the quality of the Intel core processors, but I like the power and value you get with AMD. They have the highest power processors on the market.

It is not very fair to compare the two companies. Intel makes "higher" end chips, thus they cost more money. AMD on the other hand makes lower end ones, so it all depends on your budget. If money is not an issue, by all means go with Intel.
