the easiest way is to either use scaffolding or a bubble column, they're very cheap, fast, and simple.

Ok, so look up some basic flying machine tutorials on YouTube. Then try some of them out and learn the mechanics of flying machines. Finally one you have done that build up the flying machine that will be your elevator, the build the shell around it! Congrats you built a elevator!
