Hello. I was wondering if someone can help me out.

In 1.8 if i give myself a sword with a damage attribute and make it unbreakable i a get a invalid texture. (the pink and black square)


/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {Unbreakable:1b}

or

/give @p minecraft:diamond_sword 1 0 {Unbreakable:1}

Is there a way to fix this somehow with a texture pack?

Also in 1.9+ where are able to set custom textures for items with specific attributes, what can these attributes be other than damage?
