Tony stark is unveiling a new project he calls the "Iron Avengers." The basic idea behind the project is two that the suits would Magnify the Avenger's individual abilities, and give them the standard powers of an iron man suit on top of that, and if the Avengers are wounded or otherwise out of commission, the suits would begin a protocol similar to the Iron Legion, where they'd essentially become drones, but with the fighting styles of each avenger programmed in, and weaponry built in designed to mimic their powers, if any, as closely as possible.

During the unveiling however, the suits go haywire, and begin an assault on the city. So, the avengers must go throughout the city, and destroy each of the rogue suits before they can cause too much damage. On top of that, they also need to find out what caused this to happen. They discover that, while they were dealing with the iron avengers, a number of break-ins had occurred right under their noses all throughout the city.
