Hey PMC! This is blox here, with a little factfile on the biggest freshwater fish in the world!
Arapaima (Arapaima gigas):
Location: Amazon river.
Size: Around 2 metres, but some reports say that it grows to around 4 metres!
Diet: Fish, crustaceans and even animals that wander near the shore!
Facts:
The Arapaima is a fish sometimes seen in home aquariums, but because of it's size, a huge tank or pond needs to be used to house this beast.
The Arapaima is also called the Pirarucu or Paiche.
Piraiba (Brachyplatystoma filamentosum)
Location: Amazon river.
Size: Around 3.6 metres.
Diet: Anything it can fit in it's mouth!
Facts:
The piraiba is the biggest catfish in the Amazon river.

Location: Mekong river.

The Piraiba has a reputation for being a man eater. This picture may or may not be fake. We may never know.
