I think spiders are generally cute or adorable, and most people don't really like spiders or think they're scary or gross, am I weird for liking them?

I wouldn't say you're weird. We all like different things and for you, you like spiders and I enjoy seeing people's enthusiasm for different things. For example, I like snakes and people are scared of snakes -w-

Not really. Theres a whole profession for finding new types of spiders (entomology), or researching them (biology)
e.g. Through inspiration of spider webs, people have made new strong materials, such as really strong man-made silk or bird protection glass
