Minecraft maps' copyrights in youtube

My friend is a youtuber and he thinks about uploading video which he playing minecraft horror maps.
But.. I don't sure that is it okay about copyrights.
He doesn't upload the video yet. (exactly he doesn't play it yet because of worry about it)
Almost map makers don't write about youtube;;
And most of them don't reply the ask about copyrights.
Is it too much worry? But, he is very sensitive to copyright, so I want to know for sure.
Of course, information about the author and the original link will be given.

Would the rights, if any, not belong to Mojang or MS?
I think you are being too paranoid about it. Do you have any idea what it would cost to pursue and sue someone for copyright infringement? A lot.
I'm sure 99% of map makers wouldn't have that kind of money, and most probably wouldn't care over something so trivial.
After all, by making videos of their maps you are promoting their work.

As long as you put the links to the map in your description and mention the map's name in the video, I think its fine to upload video. Just don't claim that you made the map.

Not sure yet. He is really sensitive about copyrights like i said. As long as we don't look for the maps which written about youtube, he doesn't even think about trying it.
