I use world edit. In game, go to bottom corner, type "//pos1", then go to top opposite corner and type "//pos2". Then go stand where you want your schematic to spawn from, usually somewhere at ground level. Then type "//copy". Then type "schematic save [name of schematic]". Could say "//schematic save cabinhouse". Now, open your folder - appdata>roaming>minecraft>config>worldedit>schematics. It should be located there.

Anytime you want to reload it make sure to place any schematic file back in the folder, then in game type "//schematic load [name of schematic]"....or it's "//load [name of schematic]...sorry, doing this purely out of memory. Then you can type "//paste", and then there it is!!!!
