How Do I Get Back to Normal Minecraft?

So I recently installed Pixelmon, but I want to know how to put my old .minecraft back with all of my normal saves.
I moved the regular .minecraft to my desktop so it would create another for Pixelmon without deleting my saves.
So how do I get back to my normal saves? If I move the Pixelmon .minecraft to my desktop will it overwrite my normal saves because the file has the same name?

Never mind, I sorted it.
I merged the two .minecraft files and they both work because they're two separate profiles.
EDIT: Nope, Forge crashed.
2nd EDIT: Woo! It was just a stupid 1.5.2 Lion Kind mod that made it crash. Now I have a profile for vanilla and a profile for Pixelmon (sorry if edits bump the post).

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GET RID OF PIXELMON?

Just change your version in your launcher from 1.6.4forgewhatever to 1.6.4. You can play vanilla without moving files around that way.

I wanted to get back to my other .minecraft folder...

Then just swap them if you really want it that way.
