My friend cant join my server pleas help.

I tried making a server so I CAN play whit my friends
But every time it says conecting to server and after that it times out.
I tried looking for a solution on youtube but they were all the same and didn't work for.When i look in the console i don't see him trying to join.
I didnt mess whit the server settings other then server ip which i have set to be my IPV4 adress .
I have made a port forward but i dont belive i did it right.
I dont know what other information to offer since i don't understand the problem.
If you need any information I will try to respond right away.

i have put my local ipv4 adress
I have used the modpacks server version to make the server

The modpack is enigmatica 2 espert if that matters

If you do this in your own network: Deactivate your and your friends Firewall and test it again. If it didn't work: Install Hamachi (be careful to download the right file and not a spam version!), conect and enjoy!

First, type "What's my IP" into google and make sure the public IP address it returns is what you gave your friend.
Double check your router port forwarding settings as well. You need to forward port 25565 on BOTH TCP and UDP.
Then, if you're using Windows 10, check the windows firewall. You need to make sure "Java (TM) Platform SE Binary" is allowed through the firewall.

Make sure the IPV4 Adress in server.properties is the local one, not your public one.
Could you send me a picture of the port forward so I can check if you did it correctly.

ok first off what is the error your friend is receiving?
is your friend using the right address?
is your friend in the right version, and if there are mods, does your friend have the mods?
