Server Encrypting Goes Into Timed Out

Hi all! I have been playing on a small Minecraft with a couple people server and today when I tried to join the game put me at "Encrypting" for about a minute then timed me out. What is the solution to this?

Check to see if the server is outdated or your minecraft. Then, after encripting for a while, just try again.
