Is it just me or does all 1.8 updates not appear in the Minecraft Launcher now? I really want to play it for it's combat and texture packs. Can anyone tell me how to play Minecraft version 1.8.9?

I'm able to get it by doing this:
-open the launcher
- look up at the top and click on installations
- pick new installation
- give it a name. Click on version, scroll down and select 1.8.9.
- click create at the bottom right hand corner
- you should then be able to pick your 1.8.9 version from the box to the left of the big green PLAY button.

Thanks! I didn't see 1.8.9 way at the bottom in the version selections.
