If your looking for a cheap server hosting company, than I would recommend WitherNode. They are the cheapest ones I’ve found so far. Here’s a link
https://withernode.com/billing/aff.php?aff=132
2gb= $4.39 USD
4gb= $8.79 USD
8gb= $13.19 USD
16gb= $17.59 USD
they also have 50% off discount for your first month.
Hope this helps.

you would be better off doing a dedicated server if you want to doo bungee, less headaches and it would be cheaper although there are a couple downsides, you will need to know how to use linux command line (CLI) and i have personally used vps's - cheaper weaker and less capable dedicated servers from OVH so that could be a start

Can you post a link to a company that offers decent Linux dedicated servers?

I would if I could but I can't, haven't had experience with dedicated server providers outside of what I have outlined. you would probably get more luck from a forum for tech talk only one comes to mind right now though, https://linustechtips.com/main/ yes there are others.

It depends:
- how many servers?
- are you planning to use bungee cord?
- what kind of servers?
- how many players do you want to be able to handle?
- if you have any idea of the resource requirements per player/server that would help as well

Heres what my needs will be
*How many servers?
A: 6 not including Bungee Proxy so 7 servers
*Are you planning to use Bungeecord?
A: Yes
*What kind of servers?
A: 1 Bungee Proxy, 1 Hub/Lobby Server, 4 Minigame Servers (Skywars, TeamdeathMatch, GunsPvp, and Kit PvP, 1 Survival server
*How many Players do you want to be able to handle?
A:100 to 300 players, but obviously when i first start out i will probably have low numbers maybe like 10 to 20 players at first
As far as resources go, heres what Im thinking
Bungee Proxy: 1GB Ram, 1GB uplink
Hub / Lobby: 2GB Ram
Minigame Servers: 4-6GB Ram each (X4)
Survival Server: 16-18GB Ram
I hope this helps and also thank you for the reply

Ok so here are some ideas for you:
Idea 1: using VPS from Vultr ($138 per month or with the 16G server $186)
Pros:
Cons:
Idea 2: Dedicated server (For Price I will need to know where you want the server located)
Pros:
Cons:
Idea 1: using VPS from Vultr ($138 per month or with the 16G server $186)
Pros:
- Splitting up the load on to different server gives you protection against things failing e.g. one of the minigame servers has a bug and uses 100% CPU does not affect the other servers
- Easy to upgrade one or more servers if needed. The upgrade takes less than a minute. This is why I am suggesting starting with 8GB for the survival server if you find that it is not enough you can easily upgrade
Cons:
- More complex to manage because the servers are spread out
- Web UI Minecraft server panels do not work well in this configuration
Ram (GB) | CPU | For | Price | Qty | Total: |
2 | 1 | Bungee and Hub | $10 | 1 | $10 |
4 | 2 | Minigame | $20 | 4 | $80 |
8 | 3 | Survival | $48 | 1 | $48 |
16 | 4 | Survival (Alternative) | $96 | 1 | $96 |
Idea 2: Dedicated server (For Price I will need to know where you want the server located)
Pros:
- Easier to manage because all the Minecraft servers are on one big server
- You could use a Minecraft web panel like Pterodactyl (Free) or Multicraft (Paid)
Cons:
- Harder to upgrade the server
- Harder to isolate the Minecraft server from each other
