I need help creating a data pack

I'm trying to make a data pack loot table that will make flower pots drop 1-3 emeralds occasionally.
I don't really understand how to format the data pack text wise so I am asking for someone who does know.
I am using 1.14.4 and will not use any mods for this.

You'll need to modify the loot table of the flower pot block. Go to the minecraft wiki article on "creating a data pack" for info.

Start by looking here: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Creating_a_data_pack#Loot_tables
You can copy the current version of a loot table / get an idea of how the json should look by...
1. Copy the 1.14.4 jar to another folder
2. Rename it to 1.14.4.zip (jar = zip)
3. Extract it / explore through it to find ~\1.14.4.zip\data\minecraft\loot_tables\ and copy any file you see under this directory

i would help u but i don't know how to make a data pack but i do make maps mods and redstone contraptions
