980ti 5820k can't get above 30fps with any shader?

Hello everyone. I'm having an interesting problem. This is consistent with all shaders. I thought it might of been an optifine or a 1.9 thing, but going back to previous versions has the same problem. I have a dozen different shaders, and none can get above 25fps. Some are worse than others. Without shaders using any texture pack I can get 300+ fps. Am I missing something in settings or something?

is your nvidia control panel set to performance or adaptive power, and the same thing with your windows settings, cos i get ~60 on a medium modded with shaders, i5 4690k at 4.7GHz and a gtx 960
also your cpu is pretty slow, even though it does have 12 "cores" java prefers faster over more

I had the same issues with the 970, go to your video settings and raise your Max Framerate to unlimited. now I get about 150 Fps with shaders, if that doesn't work got to Nvidias website and download the latest drivers. good luck!

Shaders are the worst, it isn't you or your pc. It's the shaders... Try soft or lite versions of them, it might help.
Maybe try Mr Meepz shaderspack. I can get up to 30FPS with that. The best I've ever found!
