Is there any known way that I can protect glass and other 'no tool' items from being broken? In adventure mode, you can still break glass and that annoys me a ton. Is there anyway I can prevent everything from being broken?

Maybe tell the player not break it and they won't?

Maybe replace the glass with iron bars and if you dont like its texture change the texture pack and switch iron bars texture with glass panes and same with the glass block

You could splash players with a level 127 potion of mining fatigue. I think that might affect the players attacking speed as well, but I'm not sure.

That's a pretty good solution for most of the map. But there is still that one piece where you need to mine other minable stuff in adventure mode, but not glass.

I'm preaty sure it only applys to other stuff
Just uh, dont use glass

Are you going to be putting your world up as a multiplayer?
If you were, you could use a Bukkit plugin and fix it with that, i think it's something like WorldEdit or something of the such.
