Ok so I am using bukkit, and have installed essentials. I have groupmanager working fine, all my ranks are set up, but players cannot use kits. I have asked players, and the message comes up as "You do not have access to this command". I added essentials.kit.tools and essentials.kit* to the perms list, but still won't work? Please answer.

If you added essentials.kit* then it will not work. there needs to be a period between the asterisk and the word, as this is how java separates directories. So the things to give would be one of the following
- essentials.kit.*
- essentials.kit.kitname
- essentials.kit1
Perhaps you could post your permissions with a spoiler? The only way I can think of helping, is to look at the permissions myself, as it sounds like you have it setup correctly.
