If you already have a domain, you need to first set up the name servers and then create a subdomain for your servers ip. For example, mine looks like this:




If your server is hosted with a company you should contact them and ask them how you can do so.

Yes ofcourse there is. But domains cost money. And you need to make sure the Daomain name mcelite.com isnt in use you should try this website http://www.checkdomain.com/

You can check if your domain is available or not. just fill in mcelite.com and the first line tells you this.
The domain that you requested, mcelite.com, has already been registered
So its already taken you should make up an other domain what isnt registered.
When you got one you need to Register it at a website that rent's domain name's it doesnt cost that much like 9€ each year it wass for me.
once you got it you can set a DNS like mc and direct it to your IP Address what is very easy to do.

then you would have mc.mcelite.com redirected to your ip.
and www.mcelite.com would go to a other ip address you filled in.

You could use No-Ip or buy a URL like you cal it for like €9 ea month.
And its called a Domain Name.

You mean a DNS? like somenamehere.zapto.org or myfavoriteserver.com ? There are sites out there that do this - I used to use no-ip but their site just got made big and so all their services that used to be free are now premium...
