HELP! user is not available?
Grapecakes
I've been trying to change my user through mojang's website, from "GrapeCakes_" to "grapecakes"
I got to the actual screen where you do it, and typed it in. It says it's taken, and wont let me change it, even though various websites, such as NameMC say otherwise.
My first thought was that "grapecakes" has the word "rape" in it, but my old user does too, so it's not the issue of it being unacceptable. I have tried everything, and it just wont work. any help?

Contact Mojang. No one here can help you with a problem on their end.

It just dawned on me that the name you're trying to take could be reserved in their system. As in someone changed their name from that one recently and it's still reserved for a period of time. Thus it wouldn't be able to be searched on sites like NameMC, but would still be an unavailable name.
That's probably what it is, but who knows. They might also decide to just give it to you if you ask for it; I'm not sure.

oh, i just realized something. ANY name i type in is "taken." (even when it's not.)

hm, ok. i was getting to call them today, so i'll just have to see. i'm not sure that's it though, since i can type an old name of mine into namemc, and it shows up with my account, so it would do the same for that.
