Memory not adding
Hey folks. so iv been having this problem for the last 2 months or so. and iv tried like everything. iv looked at all the java posts on this website and some on others. but nothing works. so what happends is that i add the java. by going into luanch settings. advanced settings on then going into the profile and changing the 1 to a 2 or 3. i have 6 gb free at all times. but when i launch minecraft nothing happends. it stays on 1. could anyone help me with this?

mhm. still nothing works. kinda giving up at this point. been working on this for months and nothings changed

So, I assume you go into your launcher options, version, and then enabling JVM arguments, right?
If you are, then only change the first one to 2 or 3.

I installed 64 bit java. and it still stays at 1 memory. my pc is 64 bit

If you are using a 32 bit java on a 64 bit computer, it will stay at 1 gb. Thats just how it works. Also since you have 6 gb, you dont really want to put in 3, since that will leave you with 3 left to run the computer. However you can put in 5 if you really wanted too, just dont do anything else other than minecraft.
Also, you may lack some features like these. They will certanly help if you dont have them.

It was using the one that came with the pc. but when it didnt work i looked into it and updated the java. and it still doesnt work

is minecraft using the java version that came with it or a manually downloaded version
