Minecraft launcher grey screen!

I've been playing minecraft for a year on my p.c but stopped when it came out on the xbox 360. I wanted to go back to the p.c but the minecraft launcher is just a grey screen. I've deleted minecraft and the .minecraft folder and java. I reinstalled them all but nothing. I've lowered the security settings to see if that would help but nothing again. When I went to try it on my dad's laptop, it did the same thing. So what am I doing wrong!?

Do you have Java installed?
Minecraft is coded with Java so you need it to play it. It's free.

Just accept everything and select your language.

I have recently got a new router. I used to play minecraft in browser but they took that away.

Maybe it's something to do with your connection? Dunno, I'm not very good with bugs although I experience major server lag problems. Did you do anything to your WiFi recently?
