[iWhen i run minecraft is starts ok as usual, then i get to the main screen, still fine, BUT when i go on a server or in singleplayer it imediatly stops responding...

also could my new hard drive installed with my existing one cause a problem? also my hdd has like 1 gb left... could that effect it?

if you need me to list something ill tell you.

btw i have 5gb ram [i know random] and a good enough graphics card for minecraft. trust me.

now by my personal evaluation i think that this could possibly be to do with world rendering. as non of the world loads all i see is void and my hotbar, then it crashes...

I am not an expert, but do you have Java 7? Also a related problem occurred to me, I can help. reset your mine craft, so delete all the files. So I would go to windows start search and type %appdate% click .minecraft and do all that crap, delete everything and then run your mine craft. I hope this helps,

A "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION", generally means there's an unknown fault to memory which mostly programmers know them as segmentation faults. It's hard to tell if this is NT doing this or a process of Java (JVM, etc.) This looks like a memory problem and it's hard to tell where the issue is without diagnosing it. You can try dropping memory for Minecraft and see what happens there as it's coming to a place where it can't put Minecraft in memory causing a fault. This could also be a sign of bad memory but it's somewhat unlikely but we can't rule it out completely. It could be the graphics card as well, which I recommend ditching Windows entirely as I've seen in couple of my testing with Minecraft and chipsets and graphic cards that Windows will cause these issues whereas another operating system won't. I recommend try using a different OS run Minecraft there if the same problem occurs, it's a hardware/OpenGL issue, if not Windows is to blame. It would be easy to track down the problem that way.

ive has this error and its most likely your videocard not having opengl 2.1... is it only with 1.7.4? or both 1.7.4 and 1.7.2?
