Minecraft on a GTX 1060
I recently bought an MSI laptop with a GTX 1060 in it, and I can run every game on max graphics perfectly fine, but Minecraft.
Lately I've just dealt with it, but I've seen people with a GTX 970 run Minecraft better, with shaders and settings maxed out and everything, and now it's kinda annoying.
My question is, is there anything I can do to make it run better? I get probably around 150 FPS and I'm almost certain my computer can do way, way better.
And yes, I've tried OptiFine.

Weird, I have a GT 730 and usually Minecraft is at around 120 FPS even though it's not very powerful, so maybe try allocating more RAM to Minecraft ?
Also check your max framerate setting, that could be what's causing the issue.

Funny. I use a MacBook Pro, with custom parts and I still pump out around a few hundred frames on max visual settings. What CPU are you running on?

a good question to ask is what cpu u got
and what power settings u got windows on
and what texture/resource pack u running
and render distance
and nvidia driver settings

I have a GTX 1060 on my PC and it runs great, even with shaders i get about 90 FPS and about 400-500 FPS without shaders, and thats running max with most settings. Maybe check your processor speed but 150 FPS should be running pretty smooth.

150 FPS is better than me and I have a GTX 1070. I usually have about 70 FPS. It doesn't matter too much about FPS as long as minecraft runs smoothly.
