White-listing issues

Is anyone else having white-listing issues? My friend white-listed me, but I couldn't join his sever. The ingame error said that I wasn't white-listed. So, he white-listed me again, and I couldn't get on; he logged on, and I couldn't get on. I refreshed my server list; couldn't get on. Closed and re-opened Minecraft; couldn't get on. Tried to direct connect - I think you all know where I'm going with this. He even tried /whitelist add! Anyone have any suggestions? I need help!

Thanks, OOIAmSavedOO, I'll try that, because the whitelist.txt thing didn't work. He said he already did it. I'll ask him if he's restarted it. If he has, and I think he might have, then I'm screwed.

He must restart his server. Reloading does NOT refresh the whitelist.
