Would Anyone be interested in helping update or rewriting this old 1.2.5 mod into a forge version that's MC 1.12.2 for Client & Server?

It's a mod that basically shoots things like a turret but you ride and aim it like a boat, here's the links I have for it. The mod owner said its an out-of-date and dead project, when I emailed him. So someone else can take over this project. You have consent. he hasn't been active on planet mine craft in 6 years any how and is unwilling to update or recreate the mod for 1.12.2
