I had this idea for a mod, that I thought might do very good for those who like to build cities. And the idea actually came from using the mod, RealTrainMod.

Though I currently use MC1.7.10 with Forge and Liteloader, I was also hoping for Lamps and Traffic Lights mod as well as RoadWorks Mod would be updated to 1.7.10, but >.>

Anyways, the idea is something similar to the Signboards and "Signs" in RTM, where instead of writing on the sign, you use textures. For instance, sign telling you the est. distance it is from a distination, or a sign saying what areas are coming up if you exit off a highway or just signs notifying you of tolls even. But unlike the actual Minecraft sign, textures are used. For example how RTM would have it. Obserb:

Though minus the glowing effect. But then also having it work like one sits on 2 fence polls that are built into the sign if you place it on the ground, or one on a tall poll, if people get what I mean with that. And also having Shift+Right Click to change the texture.

I do believe this would be a great idea for a mod though, and as I said, very usualful for anyone who likes to build a city too.

Oh yeah, and last but not least, please do excuse me, but I see no subforum for "mod suggestions" so I just posted this here. If you don't get what I mean by all this, I am sorry, I don't have the best of ways of putting things together.
