Too many items for multiplayer?

like i wanna try it in mutliplayer but it always says you have no promission to use that command and im pretty pissed off about that. WHO MADE THAT ANYWAYS? so is there something i can get to use it in multiplayer?

OP is short for operator on a server. Essentially, you have to be able to use every command on the server or the /give command on the server. TooManyItems Mod will not work unless you follow that criteria !

The TooManyItems mod works fine with mutliplayer ONLY if you have access to the "/give" or "/i" commands. When you use the mod, it sends the command to the server with the corresponding item ID's and values, and requests the item to be added to the player's inventory. Since you obviously do not have access to "/give" in chat, you won't be able to use the TMI mod in multiplayer on that server. Is there a mod that overrides this? Probably, but if you are caught doing this, you would be banned anyways. There's a reason it doesn't work for you. You would be able to cheat in the items, which is unfair for other players that have to gather their own materials.

There's not a multiplayer version of Too Many Items. There's only ONE version, and if you are OP or a rank that has the permission for /give or /i, then you can use it. If you are not a rank that can do that, then you cannot use it. Now stop your whining.

TMI is client side, and when used on a server it simple prints out (as someone said) the /give command. If you are not an OP/dont have permission to use that command, it will not work.

TMI sends a message to the server, and that message is the same as the /i command. No, you cant use it to cheat. Yes, if you are op you can use it to manage your server. Dont be pissed off.

If you aren't then you wont have permission to, if you did and it was a survival server it would undermine the economy system and make it unfair for anyone else, the only other way i can think of getting around this is hacking, which is evil and can get you banned from almost any server, so don't hack.
