Coding but Mcreator is great if you just want to create a mod without learning how to code.

Coding, as you actually can do much more then Mcreator. You can learn coding by just simply searching for tutorials on youtube. basics are easy to learn and further you will improve over time by your self.

Mcreator is a great starting point but is limited in its features for more complex projects
