i know this might sound like being overdone already and it does not even require big redstone skillz, but i let a few peeps watch this and all of them afterwards meant like, oh wow that was a new trick to me... so i kinda like put all the available knowledge and my experience into this tutorial, made it interactive, so everybody can pick what they would like to see next within the video, and here it is.

It's is trimmed for the low ressources you have when you started a new survival world, for this was requested quite often in my comments. You will need to dig a little for the redstone though (if you want the shut off switch) but besides that no nether or end or difficult to obtain materials are required.
