Flush 2x2 double piston door (I need help)

I was in the process of making a 2x2 door for a big build that I'm working on for the Kysen Kraft server (YouTuber, look him up fam), and because the sides of the door was gonna be made of glass I didn't want to have any bulk redstone on the outside, so I want to do it all underground. I have a solid idea of how to build it but I don't know how to actually make it work. Any ideas?

I made a vid on a 3 x whatever redstone door that you could easily make 2x2. The redstone could go underground for sure

I saw it and I wasn't all too up for using sand or any kind of gravity affected block. But it was a good video!
